Because they had nowhere else to go, homeless orphan twin boys had no option but to live in a cave. They were astonished to learn that they were the heirs of a $3.7 million fortune left to them by a lady they had never met. Jack and Chandler, twin boys aged 23 and 24, had spent most of their lives at an orphanage. They lived in poverty when their mother abandoned them when they were one year old because she could not sustain two children.
When their father discovered they were carrying twins, he left, and although their mother planned to keep them, she realized she wouldn’t be able to support them with her job. When Jack and Chandler turned 18, they were asked to leave the orphanage because it could no longer accept them. They were forced to live in a cave on the outskirts of town after becoming poor!

They spend their days looking around landfills for things to sell. They would give to the orphanage where they had formerly resided while hunting for sellable items, since they were inherently generous people. When they came across old toys in the trash, they cleaned and mended them before donating them to the orphanage if they were still in good condition.
The twins had known what it was like to grow up without luxury or parental guidance. They grew up without a sense of family or experiencing affection and compassion from others around them, so they were determined to convey pleasure to the orphans via those gifts. The brothers were humble individuals who did not believe in begging. They wanted to work hard for what they had, therefore they were unwilling to accept help from others.
They would accept food offers from outsiders on days when they didn’t have food, but that was all. They refused to take money and instead rummaged through garbage looking for anything they might sell to generate money. One day, they came upon Dave, a homeless 13-year-old child. Concerned for the boy’s well-being, they offered to take him to the orphanage where they had previously lived, where he might get suitable shelter and necessities. Dave declined, begging the twins not to call the police. “Can I stay with you instead?” Please? ” Dave pleaded.

“I’ll help you hunt among the rubbish so we can eat every day,” the youngster promised. Jack and Chandler were excellent with children, particularly after being among the oldest in the orphanage where they had previously resided. They promised to watch for and care for Dave. “All well, then. It’s better for you to be alone on the streets. “It might become deadly,” Chandler warned him.
For months, Dave had been living in the cave with Jack and Chandler. They became his elder brothers, and they regarded each other as family. Jack, Chandler, and Dave were at the junk store, where they sold objects discovered in the garbage on any given day. There was a social services representative waiting for them.
“Do you happen to be Jack and Chandler Hawkes?” “said Ali, the representative. Jack and Chandler exchanged puzzled looks. “Why? ” Jack wondered. “I’ve been looking for you for many months. I’m glad I discovered this trash business when selling scrap metal at home. I saw your names in the logbook and knew you were coming here every weekend. “I’m glad I stumbled across you today,” the woman remarked. When Jack and Chandler sensed someone was searching for them, they exchanged blank stares.

“What do you need from us?” This time, Chandler inquired. “You know, a certain Sandra Hawkes left behind an inheritance of $3.7 million, which is now titled after the two of you,” she said. The pupils of Jack, Chandler, and Dave dilated. “3.7 million bucks!” they all said at the same time. “But,” Jack said to the lady, “we don’t know anybody named Sandra Hawkes.” “Since we were a year old, we’ve been orphans. Did our birth mother leave us anything? ”
Ali’s head trembled. “No, not exactly. “Your grandma is Sandra Hawkes,” she said. “However, your mother did approve of the bequest.”
Jack and Chandler were overcome with sadness. “Does it indicate our mum passed away?” Chandler inquired. “No, sir,” your mother is still alive, “Ali stated. “She should have gotten the inheritance.” She did, however, request that they be transferred to you. She believed she had no claim to the money after leaving you. ”
The lads were taken aback by their mother’s unexpected selflessness. They questioned whether she was already wealthy, which would explain why she didn’t want the money. However, Ali assured them that this was not the truth. ” Your mother is equally poor. She lives at a women’s shelter and depends on food stamps for her daily livelihood,” she confessed.

Ali agreed to take Jack and Chandler to their mother. She drove them to the shelter where she resided for an emotional reunion.
“Are you my twins?”
” Their mother, Sylvia, sobbed. As she grieved, she stroked each of her sons’ faces. She couldn’t stop sobbing when Jack and Chandler nodded.
“I apologize, my boys. “I’m sorry for leaving you and never returning for you,” Sylvia sobbed. “When I received your grandmother’s bequest, I went to the orphanage where I had left you, but you were no longer there.” “I tried to locate you, but I couldn’t find you,” she said. “You see, your grandma was against your father becoming my husband when you were born.
“I haven’t seen your grandma since we eloped,” Sylvia said. “Even I couldn’t believe she gave me her fortune, but when I got it, you were the first two people I thought of.” Jack and Chandler recalled their years at the orphanage and their desire to see their mother again. While being abandoned was terrible and sad for them, they were relieved to finally see their mother.

“I know it must have been difficult for you to leave us, and we didn’t have easy lives as a result of your choice,” Chandler said. Jack nodded in agreement with his twin brother. “I’ve always wanted to see my mother again, to have a full family.” “Now that you’re here, I’m ready to let go of the past and begin over,” he added.
Sylvia wept, thankful that her boys were prepared to give her another shot. With the money they got, Jack and Chandler decided to buy a nice home where they would live beside Sylvia and Dave. They utilized the extra money they had to pursue college degrees so they could attain decent employment. Jack eventually found and married a wonderful lady. He accepted Dave as his son, and they raised him as if he were their own.
