In this country, there is a stereotype that police officers enjoy eating donuts. While the cops in this story are no exception, they also enjoy sharing their donuts with the homeless.
On Tuesday morning, a Krispy Kreme truck loaded with donuts was stolen in Lake City, Florida. The van was found 193 miles (310 kilometers) away in Clearwater by police officers. The manager of the store was so grateful to the officers that he offered them all of the donuts in the truck as a thank you.

The police officers kept a few of the donuts for themselves, but the rest were distributed to Clearwater’s homeless population.
The Clearwater Police Department posted on Facebook, “There were dozens of delicious donuts on board the stolen van that the store manager gave to the police officers.” “The officers saved a few donuts for later consumption and donated the rest to the homeless feeding that takes place each night next to the police station.”

These days, it often seems like only negative stories about police officers are reported by the media. This just goes to show that police officers are good, upstanding people who only want to help members of their community who need it. We would love to see the media report more on positive stories like this that show how amazing cops really are!
