Chinese parents had a girl who had albinism. She was left in an orphanage after they determined she was too unattractive to keep.

But things turned out very differently for the baby. Despite her one-color appearance, she became a famous model.

Xueli Abbing resides in the Netherlands. a child who is born without any melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color, due to congenital albinism, a hereditary condition.

Due to the fact that her biological parents did not leave any information about her, she still does not know her birthday.

She stated that in order to at the very least estimate her age, she had an X-ray of her hand in 2019. She was estimated by doctors to be 15 years old at the time.

After I was born, according to Xueli, the Chinese government implemented the one-child per mother restriction. The way I looked made my illness worse. Kids like me were either abandoned, locked up, or had their hair dyed black as a result.

When the infant was about three years old, she got lucky. She was adopted by a European-based Dutch family.

When she was 11 years old, she ran her first modeling test. She received this opportunity solely by coincidence.

Xueli’s biological mother made touch with a Hong Kong fashion designer and launched the Perfect Flaws campaign. The fashion show launched her professional career.

She has already attained renown and has been highlighted in the Italian publication Vogue 2019.

The young woman now loves her job. She also believes she is making the world a better place by debunking misconceptions about those who have similar traits.

Though her extraordinary looks are a benefit, Xueli also faces a variety of challenges in her modeling career. She admitted that albinos are frequently used as ghosts and angels in disguise.

“In the world of modeling, having a distinctive physical appearance is a benefit, not a drawback. This gave me a platform from which to raise awareness of albinism. Tall and slender models have always been prevalent in the industry and will remain so. However, a little has changed.

It’s good that people with physical characteristics are starting to show up in the media more frequently because, in reality, this is pretty normal,” adds the young model.
