Welsh by birth, British On Valentine’s Day five years ago, Joanna Gregory gave birth to twin daughters. Joanna became pregnant for the second time on February 14 only five years after the first time, this time with twin daughters. One in 32 million chances exists that anything like this could happen by mistake.
A 40-year-old woman from Gorsdock, West Wales, named Joan Gregory has done something that is illogically impossible. On February 14, the mother gave birth to two sets of identical girls, five years apart. A coincidence like this is thought to happen just once in 32 million times, but Joanna disproved that theory!
The mother gave birth to her first set of twins, Laura and Lexi, on February 14, 2005. On February 14th, 2020, she gave birth to two more sets of twins, Ela and Ava, five years later. Contrary to the parent’s expectations, the infants arrived a month and a half early and right on time for the older sisters’ birthdays on April 7. Joan jokes that her husband, Chris Lowell, will never forget to wish her a happy Valentine’s Day again.
Despite the twins’ early arrival, Joanna asserts that she considers the circumstance to be a “true miracle.”
After a few days in critical care receiving supplementary oxygen because Ella was born with low birth weight, the kids were transferred to a specialized newborn clinic in Newport.
Ava and Ella weighed about 1300 grams each when they had a cesarean delivery. Ava and Ella were smaller at birth than Lola and Lexi, according to Joanna.
Due to birthing issues, Joanna was unable to hold her children for three days after they were born. Joanna remembers thinking, “It hurt my heart that I couldn’t even pick them up.” Nothing can be done, though; the event must take place. She writes, “The doctors who helped save the lives of Joanna’s two youngest girls are forever in my debt.”
Ava was the first patient to leave the facility. Ella had to stay for a few more days, but both girls were eventually allowed to return home safely. Physicians are unconcerned about the twins because they are healthy and happy. According to Joanna, Ava can already drink milk on her own, and Ella is catching up.
The arrival of Lola and Lexi surprised Joanna and her husband even more because neither of them had twins. And it was a big surprise when Ava and Ella showed up.
In the UK, twin births are hardly common. In the country, 12,000 sets of twins and 190 sets of triplets were born in the preceding year. In other words, multiple births occur in 65 out of every 100 births.
There is an extremely little possibility that a woman will ever give birth to more than one pair of twins. Less than one in 32 million people have the opportunity of being born on the same day as both sets.
