A 911 call from a fifth-grade kid saves the lives of 30 students.

Troy Luna, 10, of Crows Landing, California, was on a school bus one day after school. A few minutes into his bus ride, he noticed a weird odor coming from the bus driver. The bus driver was not your typical one. Instead, he was a stand-in.

The manner in which this driver was speeding down the road, skipping a turn that they regularly took, and his irresponsible driving style, caused some kids to fall out of their seats. His behaviors led Luna to believe that «something was wrong.» After that, the driver swerved onto the highway. Troy was convinced that something was wrong, so he dialed 911.

His pals were afraid that if they phoned the emergency number, they would get in trouble, but with all the warning flags, he couldn’t leave. He ultimately made the decision. The police finally arrived, rescuing the 30 pupils on the bus, who varied in age from kindergarten to grade five.
