A bride recently gave her 2-year-old son the spotlight on her wedding day. Kristie Mihelich never expected her son to steal the show, but she is overjoyed that he did!

Kristie and her husband Bobby married in Michigan after postponing their ceremony due to the pandemic. During the interim, they became parents to their son, Pierson.

They had always intended for him to be the ceremony’s ring bearer. Pierson and his father stood at the front as Kristie appeared to begin her walk down the aisle to the familiar song ‘Canon in D.’

Pierson couldn’t keep his excitement in check. ‘Hey, Mom!’ he exclaimed. He then waved and ran toward her, arms outstretched. All of the guests were impressed and applauded him.

Kristie walked down the aisle with her son Pierson and her brother Kirk. It was an unexpected walk down the aisle that turned out to be perfect and fitting.

She said, ‘It was the sweetest thing on the entire planet. I literally could have gone home right then and been so happy with my wedding.’ The guests and groom loved the moment too.

Pierson’s enthusiasm set the tone for the entire wedding, which was a huge success. Kristie said, ‘I couldn’t have planned it any other way, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.’
