When Audrey the Cockatoo’s original owner peris.hed, she went into severe mourning, pulling off her feathers and refusing to sing. While working one day, a man called Misha Sitova met the owner’s 88-year-old wife and Audrey. The lady informed him about Audrey’s sadness, her husband’s dea.t.h, and how, at the age of 15, Audrey had stress.

Misha must have left an impact on Audrey since the bird flew into his arms the second time they met. Audrey had clearly formed a relationship with him. Pat, the widow, asked Misha if he and his wife, Kristin, would save the little bird.

Audrey took a few weeks to warm up to Kristin, but she adored Misha and followed him around the house right away. As the pair gained Audrey’s confidence, they realized that the cockatoo enjoyed dancing.

When the music starts playing and the duo starts dancing, Audrey likes to replicate Misha’s actions. Kristin revealed on YouTube how they discovered Audrey’s passion for music when the song «Old Town Road» played on the radio in their kitchen one day.

«Audrey began singing and dancing.» «We forwarded the video to Pat, and she was as surprised as we were to find Audrey enjoying jamming,» Kristen stated. Kristin claims Audrey «surprises us everyday with new whistles, sentences, and dancing movements» after three months of living with the cockatoo. She’s very interested in studying dance, as shown in this video with Misha. Her feathers are also sprouting back! »

Audrey’s former owner told them she liked to sing, but it took a while for her to rediscover her voice. However, she did!
