Hungry bear whose tongue got stuck in a can approaches people and asks for help

A polar beer went to ask for help from people in Dikson, Northern Russia, after its tongue became caught in an empty container of condensed milk. The wild animal is said to have never approached people before, but it has gotten desperate due to starvation.

The animal’s back legs were also shown trembling from thirst in the footage.

The bear most likely discovered the tin can while rummaging for food at a garbage site. An individual supposes that, the bear became so tired of the can that it approached people and stuck its tongue out. “But it was hard to aid without upsetting the bear,” the local continued, “so everyone gave up.”

A guy tried to remove the sharp-edged can but was unable to do so since the animal’s tongue was deeply lodged.

Luckily, a team of veterinarians arrived at the distant community after a 2,125-mile air and road trip hampered by terrible weather and were able to immobilize her and remove the tin can. “The polar bear was discovered around 1.9 kilometers from Dikson airstrip.”With the first dose, the vets were able to sedate her and remove the tin can.”

“At the moment, one of the veterinarians is treating many incisions on the bear’s tongue.” “The bear is a young female weighing between 80 and 90 kilograms,” Russian environmental monitor Svetlana Radionova said.

The bear will be observed for several days before being released back into its native environment with a stack of fish. “We have provided 50 kg of fish for the bear’s rehabilitation,” said Svetlana Akulova, general director of Moscow Zoo.

Dikson, on the other hand, is one of the world’s northernmost towns, named for the Swedish adventurer Baron Oscar Dickson.
