It was sixteen weeks at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100, beating Mariah Carey’s record of “One Sweet Day.”

On April 30, 2017, the physical release started in Europe as a two-track single including the original and a pop version. The song was recorded in Miami, Florida in 2016. The song was produced by Mauricio Rengifo and Andrés Torres, the latter of whom is recognized for his work with David Bisbal and Ricky Martin. Rengifo (Rengifo) is the first producer.
