Every day, Gloria eagerly awaited for her older brother, Anthony, to get home from school. The school bus dropped Anthony off just in front of the home, but he didn’t get off one day. Lynn, their mom, became concerned, but Anthony finally emerged. But, when a new bus driver arrived the next day, Lynn became skeptical!
Gloria sprang up from her sketching table since her wristwatch indicated that her brother’s bus was approaching. Anthony was a pre-teenager, and Gloria was four. Their mom usually let her wait outside for him since the bus let Anthony off just in front of the home. They resided in a secure Maryland neighborhood.

Gloria notified her mother, who unlocked the front door and let her go. Lynn normally kept a close watch on her, but her phone rang. She wasn’t worried since the bus was on its way, so she went to check who was calling. When she got off the phone, she saw Gloria standing alone outdoors. “What happened, Gloria? ” What happened to Anthony?” “I just noticed the bus coming,” Lynn said, walking outside to stand with her next to their mailbox.
“Please, I will be late if I don’t take him immediately,” the guy said, his eyes filled with panic.
“I’m not sure, mama. The bus had arrived. “But it vanished,” Gloria replied, her lips pursed and staring up at her mother. This was strange. Anthony usually informed her of any delays, and he didn’t have any extra activities at the time.

He had to phone her if he had a school assignment or went out with his buddies. Lynn took her daughter’s hand in hers and walked inside. She called Anthony’s mobile phone, but he didn’t answer. Her intuition warned her that something was happening. She dragged Gloria to her vehicle, strapped her into her car seat, and went to school to locate her son.
She was fortunate to speak with his homeroom teacher, Mrs. Cortez, who said that she had seen all of the students board the bus.
“But Anthony didn’t get off the bus,” Lynn said, but before they could worry any more, she got a call from Anthony. “Darling, where have you gone?” “I’m home, Mom!” The bus broke down, and we were delayed for some time.

“Where have you gone?” Anthony revealed. Lynn exhaled a sigh of relief, assured Mrs. Cortez that everything was OK, and drew Gloria back to their vehicle. “Mrs. Torres, didn’t you mention that the bus came to the house?” the instructor said as Lynn approached her vehicle. Oh, I must have done something wrong. Not to worry! “Thank you very much, Mrs. Cortez,” Lynn said as she waved farewell and drove away.
Gloria and Anthony welcomed one another as usual, and everything seemed to return to normal. “Hello, ma’am, I’m the new bus driver at the school,” a mysterious man said, motioning to the school bus outside. I’m here a little early because I’m learning the route, and I’ve waited, but your child has not yet shown.”
“Well, whatever. It’s a pleasure to meet you. But it’s still much too early. “Anthony hasn’t eaten breakfast,” Lynn said, taken aback by the man’s statements. He had no clue they were terminating the regular school bus driver, a wonderful elderly guy. “What became of Charlie?” “Charlie?” “Do you remember our normal driver?” “Oh well. He’s ill. “I’m covering for him for a few days,” the man said.

When the doorbell rang the next morning, Lynn was making breakfast and Anthony was preparing for school. “Hello?” Lynn hummed, but she was not persuaded. Something in her gut told her there was something strange going on. It may be because he wasn’t wearing a uniform. “Well, as I already said, Anthony isn’t quite ready yet. It’s too early, “she shook her head.”
“Please, I will be late if I don’t take him immediately ,” the man said, his eyes filled with terror.
“Please, I will be late if I don’t take him immediately ,” the man said, his eyes filled with terror.
“You are free to continue your journey, sir.” This morning, I’ll drive my kid to school by myself. “Goodbye,” she said firmly, closing the door in the man’s face. She took out her phone just in case, but she watched him get on the bus and go.
A few minutes later, Anthony was getting ready for school, and Lynn was going to transport him when another school bus came. It came on time. Lynn decided to take her kids out and was surprised to discover Charlie behind the wheel. He was in excellent health. Something was wrong. She phoned the school right after, notifying them of a strange individual imitating their bus driver.

However, no one had seen them. Other parents were contacted and verified that Charlie had picked up their children. No one else. Lynn then called the police. “What if he wants my child and daughter?” I assume he came to our place yesterday afternoon. He might have stolen my child! ” She cried when she called the police. The cops came to her residence that day and devised a strategy for the next morning.
Lynn and other cops waited at her residence for the mystery man, not sure whether he would return. His bus came, and he went outside. He was going to use the same method he had previously employed! When he opened the door, he was startled by one of the police, and he tried to leave, but the cops grabbed him before he could enter the bus.

When they ran his fingerprints, they learned that he was wanted on many charges in Texas and Colorado. He was a kidnapper, and Lynn was right since her son was the current target, despite his pre-teenager height. The detectives praised Lynn for following her instincts and reporting everything so quickly. However, the school implemented new safety guidelines, promising parents that any new hires or sick days for Charlie and other bus drivers would be disclosed to them. Lynn was honored by every PTA parent since their children might have been next.
