This cute home was constructed and designed by a single mother after she lost her home after a divorce. Let’s have a look inside

Hiring a family law attorney is the last thing any married couple wants to do in their relationship, but it becomes necessary when you separate from your partner. You want to avoid losing everything, even your home!

“My life has been a sequence of bad circumstances,” Boyle says in a house tour video. Michelle explains, “I’ve been married twice, divorced twice, bought two homes, and essentially lost the properties in the wreckage of my divorces

Michelle, on the other hand, did not fall into depression; instead, she built herself a little home! When she was 12 years old, Michelle got intrigued with a little, deserted farmhouse near her parents’ home.

Yet circumstances haven’t been that easy for Michelle as an adult. For the last 13 years, she has lived paycheck to paycheck, with no retirement savings plan and no savings. She finally became weary of the effort and wanted to provide a secure future for her 2 kids.

Shee needed a low-cost location for her family to reside, which is when the idea of creating a small house occurred to her. She built her whole house with funds and sponsorship. She has also chosen to construct acouple ofe additional small dwellings to rent out as a source of income.

Michelle’s home is 8 1/2 feet wide and 24 feet long, and she calls it “My Empty Nest.” She did the majority of the work herself, with the help of a few professionals and friends in her rental’s garage.

“My kitchen is my fave space in my modest home,” she says. “I believe that many people compromise on their kitchen when building a small home, but I wanted to show everyone that you can have a very nice and trendy kitchen.”

Michelle’s kitchen is fully equipped, with a tall refrigerator, cupboard and drawer space, a stove sink, and counter-top space; you’d never guess she lives in a small house! There is a compost toilet and a shower in her bathroom.

Her living room is furnished with two couches, a credenza, and a cabinet. It also has a stairway that leads to her loft bedroom. A ladder is also given to access the neighboring loft level, which doubles as a guest bedroom.

That is a stunningly constructed home! Congratulations to Michelle for taking on this journey not just to follow her passion but also to ensure that she could support and care for her kids.
