A guy in the woods caught the terrifying howls of a mountain lion and shared the odd animal sound in a viral video. Westin Yancey was on an elk hu.nting expedition in Oregon, USA, when he paused, looked at the camera, and said, “mountain lion.” The cat’s screams last over a minute and sound eerily human.

The mountain lion (or cougar, as they are frequently known) was most likely in heat and looking for a mate. Mountain lions in the wild are uncommon, but not unheard of.

I do not even mind hearing one, as Westin did, but I don’t believe it’s a good idea to attempt to meet one!
