A wedding ceremony was held for the Chinese couple, Liang Zifu and Li Suying, sixty years ago. They were without money and without a place to live at the moment. They were not financially stable enough to own a home or a flat, and they were not able to pay rent either.

Because of this, the couple decided to start their family in a cave. There is a bedroom, a kitchen, and a living area all located below the stone arches. They eventually became used to farming, mostly raising pigs and poultry.

Fruits and vegetables were the norm in their diet. In a community that was close by, pork and eggs were traded for various articles of clothing and other essentials. Li soon became pregnant and gave birth to her children in the cave, where they were living at the time.

After learning about this family, the regional government offered to sell them an apartment in the town where their kids also reside. However, the husband, who is 86 years old, and his wife, who is 81 years old, turned down the offer.

They assert that they have become accustomed to living in caves over the course of several decades. When the sons and daughters of the family reached maturity, they moved to the city, but their parents remained in the countryside. They enjoy being alone and in complete obscurity. As a consequence of this, they do not want to do anything that might destroy the idyllic life they have created for themselves within their marriage.
