An officer with the Tucson Police Department noticed that the headlight on the vehicle driven by a guy named Steven Hildreth Jr. was damaged. I it turned out that the officer had some concerns. He inquired to find out if Steven had any weapons, and Steven said that he did. He said that he had a gun but was allowed to carry one since he had a permission.
The police then requested the man’s driver’s license and car registration. The officer had to disarm him in order for him to get to his wallet, which was in his right pocket, where the items were located.
The remainder of the tale was posted by Steven on his Facebook page, where it immediately gained more than 600,000 shares and became a viral sensation.
Right now, I’m on my way to work to hand in the papers that I’ve been working on all week. There is a broken headlight. I watch as a patrol car from the Tucson Police Department circles back around and starts following me. I’ve already started getting ready for the next destination.
Just as the lights come on, I come to a stop. The officer first wants to know about my well-being and then inquires whether I am in possession of any weapons.
«Yes, sir,» I have permission to carry a concealed handgun, and I keep it on the hip on the right side of my body. My wallet is in the pocket on the right side of my back. »
«The officer adds that in order to ensure both his and my safety during the stop, he has to disarm me.» I am aware of what you mean, and I will unlock the car. I let him know that I was concealing my weapon with a 7TS ALS holster, but because of the angle, the second officer was unable to remove it. When the lead officer instructs me to step out, I do so in a cautious manner. The officer takes my Glock away and praises me on the X300U that I’m running on it. In addition, he looks at my military ID, and I inform him that I am a member of the National Guard.
«The leading officer informs me that my registration card has expired, despite the fact that he is aware that my registration is current. He comes back to check the status of my license. I am aware that he has at least two violat.ions against me. I’m trying to think of a way to pay them.
The person describing the event said, «Officers return with my Glock securely stowed away in an evidence bag.»
Because you were chill with us and didn’t cause us any trouble, I’m only going to offer you a verbal warning instead of taking further action. You need to have the lamp repaired as quickly as you can.
I grin. «Thank you, sir.»
I’m a black guy, and I’m now strapped and wearing a hoodie. According to the ideology of certain social groups, I shouldn’t be living right now since it is widely believed that the police are on a mission to eliminate people of color.

This idea is just nonsense.
Maybe if you show respect to the policemen who protect and serve you, they will return the courtesy. Officers of the law are also members of the human race. Most people are good and don’t want to hurt you.
I would want to extend my gratitude to those two officers, as well as the TPD in general, for yet another professional encounter.
«We have a lot of conversations about the rotten apples who shouldn’t be allowed to wear badges.» I’d want to get the word out about certain guys who are great examples of what the badge they wear stands for since they have worked hard to earn it.
