Kimberley Bridges had no idea at the time, but her dog had saved her life.
While out on a stroll with Orla, a boxer-Staffy mix, she tugged quite hard on the leash. She was jerked over to Orla so hard. Kimberly had no idea that a huge automobile had jumped the pavement behind her and was heading directly for her!
She was astounded when she viewed dash cam video from a neighbor.

Kimberley is a few steps away from Orla, on a driveway, and Kimberley is sprinting after her dog. According to the Daily Mail, the automobile was traveling at 70 miles per hour and was barely millimeters away from Kimberly.
“In real-time, it was a lot quicker than I thought,” Bridges told The Dodo. “We’ve been quite fortunate.”
What followed was a haze for her. The next thing she heard was a lady screaming, she said. The 44 had collided with a vehicle, sending it spinning onto the sidewalk. Fortunately, the driver of that vehicle was unharmed. The vehicle involved in the incident was subsequently discovered abandoned.
When Orla and Kimberley arrived home, Kimberley realized Orla was agitated. And after seeing the video, she realized why. Kimberley is especially thankful for Orla, a new addition to her family.
“We [always] adored her and thought she was unique,” Bridges added. But I suppose I owe her my life now, so she gets even more sweets.” Extra belly massages, please.
