An American lady is suing KFC for $1,500,000. Here’s why

Autumn Lampkins, an American, accomplished almost the impossible. She filed a $1.5 million lawsuit against the proprietors of the popular fast food business KFC. This money was given to the American lady for infringing on her maternity rights. That was the case. Autumn arrived in 2014, and I applied for a job at a KFC restaurant. The girl was parenting a 2-month-old kid at the time!

Lumpkins was excited to start work as long as she could express breast milk multiple times each day. After all, the girl was nursing her infant and wanted to continue doing so. During the interview, Autumn was assured that it was highly probable. On the other hand, the American found out on his first day of work that the company had never even thought about keeping its promise.

«We agreed on a 2-hour pause for me to express milk.» Finally, they only allowed me to do it once over the whole 10-hour shift. Lampkins added, «Their assurances were useless.» Autumn was also restricted to expressing milk solely in the management office, which was «packed» with security cameras. This caused the girl a lot of pain and finally forced the young mother to stop breastfeeding.

Autumn was compelled to give an artificial cocktail to her young boy. After being dismissed from KFC, Lampkins decided to sue the restaurant management. The girl demanded compensation for the injuries done to her and her kid. Furthermore, the court supported Lampkins’ claims against KFC. Autumn’s former bosses were found to have violated her rights as a working nurse. The restaurant’s owners must pay $25,000 in moral damages and an extra $1.5 million in «punitive» penalties to the ex-employee.
