Nicole Kidman was unable to conceive organically during her first marriage, forcing her and her husband, Tom Cruise, to adopt. She chose a life outside of Hollywood after marrying her second husband, Keith Urban, and a surprise came at the age of 40 while living on his rural farm!
Nicole Kidman desired to have kids as soon as she married Tom Cruise. At the time, the actress was only starting out in her career and met Tom when she was 22 at an audition for the 1990 film “Days of Thunder.”
Nicole got pregnant with her first kid at the age of 23 after falling in love and marrying that same year. She died because of an ectopic pregnancy, so the couple had to decide to give the baby up for adoption.

They first adopted a baby girl, Isabella, before welcoming her brother, Connor. According to reports, the actress conceived again before miscarrying. Still, all of this happened at the same time as the sad news that Nicole and Tom were getting a divorce. Nicole said the following about her losses:
“There’s a lot of grief and a lot of pleasure on the other side of it,” she says.

Tom said that his divorce was due to “irreconcilable issues.” He and Nicole never officially stated the reason for their divorce, although speculation suggested it had something to do with the actor’s participation in the Church of Scientology.
The actress never truly embraced the religion, and since her children with Tom were members, she supposedly grew alienated from them. After their parents divorced, Connor and Isabella were raised in the faith by their father.
Nicole received an Oscar for her work in “The Hours” a year after her divorce. Back in her hotel room, the actress didn’t feel as satisfied as she had hoped, but she did feel completely alone.
The actress pondered what she would do now that she was divorced, and she imagined a new route. One in which she had a farm in Oregon and lived as a single mother.
Nicole said on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2017 that she had a huge crush on Keith Urban when she first met him in 2005 at a Los Angeles event. She assumed he wasn’t interested in her at the moment.
Keith never phoned her for four months following their first encounter, according to the “Lion” actress! Keith subsequently claimed on “Oprah!” that Nicole seemed to be floating when he first saw her.
Nicole recalls praying to God about Keith when she spotted him in 2011, when chatting to her “Just Go With It” co-star, Jennifer Aniston, for Harper’s Bazaar. She promised God she’d be “totally committed for the rest of my life” if she found a partner like the singer, adding:
“I recall hoping after I met him that I’d meet someone like him, if not him.”
