Jason Colacino began country line dancing as a youth, and the dance became ingrained in him.
“He later learned to swing, salsa, Argentine Tango, jazz, ballet, and ballroom dance…” According to his website, “His success created a large demand for his abilities, allowing him to teach, choreograph, compete, perform, and judge all over the globe.”

Jason’s longtime dancing partner was Katie Boyle. Katie began dancing at the age of two and hasn’t stopped since. She is also well-known for her ballroom dance choreography talents. The combination of Jason and Katie was pure dynamite on the dance floor.

Jason and Katie’s dance routines are so intricate that it requires numerous viewings simply to comprehend how complicated the dance is. Because they move so effortlessly, it’s difficult to think their dance is so sophisticated. These two are inseparable in their movements.

Jason Colacino died in 2009, at the age of 31, from pneumonia and heart arrest. According to his obituary,

“His loss will also be felt by his swing and tango dance community family, who believed him to be one of the most talented dancers ever to grace the floor.”
