Who is Graham Norton’s husband?

Graham Norton has long kept his partner’s name hidden, but the two apparently ventured out together in public for the first time, with the Daily Mail saying that Norton’s husband is in reality Scottish director Jonothan McLeod. Bustle has reached out to Norton for confirmation and comment, but has yet to receive a response. The pair married in a star-studded Irish ceremony in July, but who is Jonothan McLeod?

The 44-year-old filmmaker began his career as a news reporter for Scottish television before moving on to work behind the scenes at BBC Scotland. He’s directed a series of documentaries for major UK television networks, and his first short film, Being Stavros, was released in 2013. This year, Alan Cumming and Lulu starred in McLeod’s first feature film, My Old School, which was shown at the Sundance Film Festival.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple was first seen together in December 2019, but it is unclear when the connection started. Norton and McLeod married in July 2022 at Bantry House, a beautiful house in West Cork, Ireland. The Mirror says that the venue, which looks out over the beautiful Bantry Bay, had guests like the Scottish singer Lulu, the TikTok dance duo Cairde, and the drag queen Panti Bliss.

While we don’t know the details of Norton and McLeod’s relationship or how they met, the host has been rather honest about his past relationships. Norton dated American Scott Michaels from 1996 until their divorce in 2000. Norton was in a five-year relationship with Kristian Seeber, AKA drag queen Tina Burner, from the early to mid-2000s. Following their breakup in 2006, the TV personality dated Trevor Patterson from 2010 to 2013, before marrying music marketing expert Andrew Smith. They finally split up in 2015.

Norton was rumored to be dating a staff member from The Graham Norton Show in 2018, although he also expressed a desire to live a single life at the time. «As you grow older, you develop your own set of standards,» Norton remarked on Katie Couric’s podcast Next Question. «I’d rather live alone for the rest of my life than with towels that were folded wrongly.»
