Multiple births are incredibly rare. Twins make up just 2% of all births, according to statistics. This is probably one in a million, if not more, assuming we’re talking about quadruplets. However, life is a great thing and occasionally surprises us!

At the time of her first ultrasound 14 years ago, Julia was informed that she was carrying four embryos under her heart. The doctors had little confidence in the women’s capacity to give birth to healthy babies because the children formed and grew in the same placenta.

She was given the option to have her pregnancy terminated in order to be secure in the hospital. But the wife adamantly refused. The girls were delivered by c-section.

All but two of them were in good health and only two were underweight. Over time, they did, however, bounce back. The girls’ extreme similarity to one another, down to their age, is what I find most intriguing.

The sisters assert that they are frequently confused. Their friends and other people around them are always trying to find something that makes them stand out, but to no avail.
