Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady “are working through things and trying to come out the other side”

Gisele Bündchen’s life is no longer spent in the shadows. After rumors of marital problems kept coming up, the Brazilian model talked to ELLE’s September 13 cover story about her job and family life.

Brady is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of all time, and his retirement from his longtime franchise, the New England Patriots, generated headlines in 2019. Many thought he was done with football until he reappeared and “unretired,” joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a few months later in 2020. His return helped the Buccaneers win the Super Bowl in his first season in Florida.

Gisele and their three children (Benjamin, 12, Vivian, 9, and Brady’s child with ex-Bridget Moynihan, Jack, 15) have been a staple on the sidelines of all of his games since the couple married in 2009. His return to the sport, though, is said to be causing a schism in their marriage. When asked about his unusual absence, Brady reportedly missed 11 days of preseason training in August, citing personal issues. “It’s all personal… everyone is coping with various issues.” We all face various obstacles in our lives. Man, I’m 45 years old. “There’s a lot going on,” he stated during a press conference.

Days later, in early September, Page Six published reports of a confrontation between the two, quoting a source as saying, “There’s been tension in the marriage over his choice to un-retire.” Gisele has always been the one in charge of the children.

Following those rumors, Gisele tweeted her support for the Buccaneers’ 2022 season opening on Sept. 11, despite the fact that she was not physically present to cheer on her guy – another unusual move. “It feels quite different this year than last year,” a source told People. We noticed she was eager to be here. I’m not saying she can’t come, but nothing is in place for her to be here for the first regular season game, which seems strange. ”

Throughout Brady’s football career, Gisele has stepped away from her lucrative modeling profession to care for their young family, allowing him to focus on the game. “I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Brady],” she said of her career sacrifices to ELLE. “When I moved to Boston, I focused on providing a cocoon and a loving atmosphere for my children to grow up in, as well as being there to support him and his dreams…I feel extremely fulfilled in that manner, as a mother and a wife.” And now it will be my turn.

However, she looks to be concerned about Brady’s involvement in the relationship. “Of course, I have concerns—this is a pretty dangerous sport, and I have children, so I would like him to be more present,” she explained. “I’ve absolutely had those discussions with him numerous times. But, in the end, I believe that everyone must make a decision that is best for [them]. He, too, must follow his joy.”

Brady, meanwhile, stated on his SiriusXM show “Let’s Go! “With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray,” he says, “football and family have always been the most important thing.”

Gisele told ELLE that she is looking forward to the future: “I have a long list of things that I have to accomplish, that I want to do.” “I feel more connected to my purpose at 42.”
