Adam Levine responds to cheating allegations: ‘I take full responsibility’

Adam Levine is speaking out after being accused of cheating on his wife of four years, Behati Prinsloo.

On Tuesday, the Maroon 5 singer posted a message on his Instagram account in which he stated that he “did not have an affair” but “stepped over the line.”

“A lot has been said about me recently, and I’d like to clear the air,” he wrote. “I exercised bad judgment in flirty conversations with anyone other than my wife. I did not have an affair, but I did cross the line during a difficult point in my life. ”

“In some cases, it gets inappropriate,” he continued. “I addressed that and am taking proactive steps to address it with my family.”

Levine’s statement came a day after Instagram model Sumner Stroh said on TikTok that she had an affair with the singer and showed messages she said she had with him in the past.

“Basically, I was having an affair with a man who is married to a Victoria’s Secret model,” Stroh said of Prinsloo. “I was young at the time, you know. I was naive, and to be honest, I feel exploited. ”

The model said that she and Levine “had been seeing each other for almost a year,” and she displayed a series of undated messaging exchanges between the two.

Stroh went on to say that she had stopped communicating with Levine after “a period of months,” but that he had just reappeared in her Instagram DMs, asking whether he and Prinsloo, who is pregnant with the couple’s third child, might name the baby Sumner if it’s a boy.

My morals were unknowingly compromised. I was completely manipulated,” Stroh claimed, adding that she “never wanted to come forward” publicly because she understood the “implications” and “stereotypes” of being tied to such a story.

Stroh stated in a separate follow-up video that, at the time of their alleged connection, she believed Levine and Prinsloo’s marriage was over and that “they were keeping it quiet to avoid the negative news.” She continued, “I wish I had asked more probing questions. I wish I wasn’t so naive, but being naive is no excuse for what I did or my role in this. ”

Levine stated in a statement on Tuesday that what happened was “the greatest mistake I could ever make” and that he would “never make it again.”

“All I care about in this world is my wife and my family,” he wrote. “I accept full responsibility. We’ll make it through. And we’ll make it through together. “
