A Dunkin’ Donuts employee was facing eviction until a customer surprised her with a new home

One Dunkin’ Donuts employee was truly blessed when she received a fully furnished home from a loyal customer.

Ebony Johnson, a Dunkin’ Donuts employee, met Suzanne Burke in the drive-thru line three years ago. The pair became close after talking each time Suzanne picked up her morning coffee.

“I go every morning,” Suzanne explained. “Ebony has been working the drive-thru for three years and has provided excellent customer service.”

Suzanne, on the other hand, had recently noticed that Ebony was not working her usual hours, and she missed her friend. When Suzanne contacted her, she discovered that Ebony and her three children had been evicted from their home.

Suzanne knew she had to assist her friend in her time of need. “I just wanted to see if I could help her improve her life and the lives of her children,” Suzanne explained. “I wanted to make sure they had a stable place to live so she could keep providing the excellent service she does at Dunkin’.”

Suzanne was able to provide Ebony with a fully furnished home thanks to the organizations from which she was able to obtain assistance. One of these organizations was New Life Furniture Bank. They also accept household items and make them available to those in need at no cost.

“To be able to provide this for them is as much a gift for us as it is for them,” said Dana Saxton, executive director of New Life Furniture Bank.

“Thank you so much to everyone. “Thank you so much for assisting me,” Ebony said as she walked into her fully furnished home. “I’m just glad we’re back in our house. “The Lord kept an eye out for me because I kept praying and asking, ‘Could I be home before Christmas?'”

May we follow Suzanne’s lead and reach out to help those in need during difficult times. God bless Ebony and her family as they share in the joy of being together back in their home!
