Celine Dion, the iconic singer, has recently found herself at the center of online criticism for her weight and style.
The singer, who was born in Canada, told the outlet that the attention on her smaller frame doesn’t bother her and that she will continue to wear clothes that make her “feel attractive.”
“I don’t want to talk about it if I like it. Don’t even bother. Take no pictures, “She stated. “I’ll be there if you like it. Leave me alone if you don’t.”
Dion, whose style has evolved since her husband’s death in 2016, explained that she is acting for herself and not to please others.
“The way we used to work was more conservative,” she explained. “I’m doing it for myself. I want to feel powerful, beautiful, feminine, and seductive.”
“I just want to be the best version of myself and be surrounded with the best people,” she continued.
Dion also used the occasion to put to rest rumors about her dating life. The 50-year-old was said to be dating her 34-year-old personal trainer, Pepe Muoz.
The “Power of Love” singer clarified that she and Muoz are not romantically involved, but rather “best friends.”
“Of course, we hug and hold hands and walk out, so people notice,” Dion explained. “He is, after all, a gentleman. He extends his hand for me to go out.”
Finally, Dion admitted that the gossip about the new man in her life doesn’t bother her because he’s not only her best friend, but “he’s handsome” as well.
Dion reminded people to leave her alone when she says she’s single, and to be honest, we’re on her side. Asking if someone is single or not is as annoying as asking when they intend to marry or have a child.
Dion assures those who are concerned about her health that she has never been better. After a series of vocal chord complications, she is now enjoying her Las Vegas residency, spending time with her children, traveling, and rediscovering herself after losing the love of her life.
“Everything is new. “I feel like I’m getting a second wind.” “50 has been fantastic for me,” said the singer.
Hopefully, Dion’s response will make people think twice about discussing her body.
