A young boy of nine years old rescued his younger brother and sister from …

Vanya Verigin, a third-grade student from Kornevo, has a lot on her plate right now. So he turned to his friends for assistance. While his father is at work and his mother is caring for the younger children, the schoolchildren are picking up the burned-out pieces of the house.

The fire broke out around noon on a day off. Mom had gone to get some bread, and the children were playing on the second floor.
Then a hot piece of charcoal fell from the stove, which the four-year-old girl picked up and discarded. It then caught fire.

The large family was left without a place to live, so they moved in with friends.
There are two boys and two girls in the Verigins family. Vanya, the oldest, is nine years old.
He was putting his two-year-old younger sister in the house when the fire started.
When he saw the flames, he was not perplexed.

“I placed the baby in my arms and my brother on my back. I was trying to pull them out, but I couldn’t see anything and nearly fell down the stairs.
“I couldn’t even breathe,” Ivan admits.
One four-year-old girl remained in the structure.
Mother Vera went shopping at the supermarket.
When she smelled smoke, she dashed into the house.

“The older one was already carrying the younger sister and brother.
I had already returned home for the third time. “I only got my daughter out the third time because it was too dangerous to go back in,” Vera says.

The fire department was called by the neighbors. When they got there,
there was no one home. The people who came to help took out a gas cylinder and
put out the fire quickly. Surprisingly, none of the children were hurt badly.
While carrying his family, Vanya got a small burn.

“The nine-year-old boy saved his brother and sister like a real hero,
showing not only good citizenship but also courage and bravery.
The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said, “We are putting
together the paperwork to give Ivan a departmental award.”

Vanya doesn’t think of himself as a hero. He loves playing sports,
especially football. But he isn’t ready to play yet. He has to help his mom and dad.
They are having a hard time right now. The family lost everything in the fire.
