John Fogerty performs «Have You Ever Seen the Rain» with a voice like a time machine.

John Fogerty has embraced his entire musical career. While achieving solo success, John never forgot his roots in ‘Creedence Clearwater Revival.’ John appeared on Conan O’Brien’s show for an interview, but he couldn’t avoid singing.

‘This wasn’t really planned, but there’s a chance you might sing a little something for us before we go,’ says Conan. The roar of the audience cuts Conan off. Conan hands John Andy Richter’s guitar after he agrees.
‘I have no idea what’s going to happen,’ Conan says. ‘You and me both!’ says John. Then John jokes about playing ‘Louie, Louie.’ ‘Everyone plays Louie, Louie,’ says Conan. I’d like to hear one of your songs.’

John begins the iconic ‘Have You Ever Seen the Rain’ guitar opening. Conan shows old photos and footage of John with his band as the audience claps along. After the first verse and chorus, John invites the audience to join in.
They all join in on the verse part, singing «I know» and then «I want to know.» John compliments the audience on their beauty. At the conclusion, everyone cheers loudly.

From 1968 to 1972, John was a founding member of ‘Creedence Clearwater Revival,’ which had nine top-10 singles and eight gold albums. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted ‘CCR’. John went on to have solo success and was ranked 40th on ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine’s list of the 100 greatest songwriters.

John’s spontaneous vocal and guitar performance was incredible. For decades, fans have been drawn to his distinct voice and timeless hits. This performance demonstrates why John Fogerty is an American musical treasure.
