Passengers Sing an Emotional ‘Irish Blessing’ For Their Airline Pilot After His Final Flight…

A pilot decided to retire after decades of service, and the passengers on his final flight asked if they might give him an emotional Irish farewell.

Despite enjoying his profession as an American Airlines pilot, Brian Lenzen, a native of Chaska, Minnesota, must retire at the mandated retirement age of 65.

Lenzen was about to give up his pilot’s uniform, therefore he wanted his final flight to be unforgettable.

He traveled all the way to Dublin to spend time with a few of his favorite employees, where they had a “wonderful time” in an Irish bar before returning home.

They were lucky to have an Irish choir join them on their return journey.

When the passengers learned that this would be Captain Lenzen’s final flight, they requested the flight attendant whether they may sing an Irish benediction in his honor.

When the captain stepped off the plane, he nearly passed out when he heard St. Anthony in the Lake choir saying farewell to him.
