In a rare video, Prince William reveals his favorite nickname for his daughter Princess Charlotte…

The majority of us have had at least one, if not more, nicknames at some point in our lives. While some of these nicknames are not always appropriate, members of our families use them as expressions of affection and love the majority of the time.

People have been using nicknames since the 14th century, and most of us consider them appropriate only in more casual settings.
Despite the Royal family’s reputation for being one of the most formal families in the world, nicknames are a common part of day-to-day life.

When Prince William was too young to properly pronounce “Granny,” he was known to refer to the Queen as “Gary,” which recently made headlines around the world.

Her formal title is Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; even her full name is lengthy – Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor.

Her family called her Lilibet as a child, but her husband, Prince Phillip, jokingly referred to her as “cabbage” and “sausage.”

People frequently fail to address family members by name when speaking to them.

The most attention is being paid to Prince William’s nickname for his daughter Charlotte. Prince William no longer claims to be too young to pronounce the names of his loved ones.

A rare video of Prince William and Kate Middleton playing with their children at the Royal Chelsea Flower Show in 2019 reveals the adorable nickname Prince William has for his daughter.

The seven-year-old is seen playing in the garden that his mother, Kate, created for the famous annual event. When Prince William asks George how many points out of ten he would give his mother’s work, George says 20.

Kate built a “Back to Nature” garden at the world’s oldest and most famous flower show, which dates back to 1912, to encourage kids, families, and communities to reconnect with nature. There was a swing seat, a treehouse, and plants for craft projects in the garden.

While the rest of the family is admiring Kate’s incredible work, Prince William climbs up onto the rope swing in the garden and requests that his daughter push him. Instead of asking for Charlotte, he asks for “Mignonette.”

The French term translates as “small, sweet, and delicate” or “cute.”

According to earlier French definitions, it can also mean gentle and kind.

Fans can’t get enough of the scene’s sweetness, and the video, which was shared on the couple’s official Instagram account in May 2019, has 3.7 million views. It provides a unique look into one of the world’s most famous families.

Charlotte’s mother, Kate, revealed her personal nickname for her only daughter during an official trip to Northern Ireland in 2019.

Laura-Ann, a fellow mother, and her son were introduced to the Duchess of Cambridge. Laura-Ann revealed Kate’s nickname for Charlotte in an Instagram post about the meeting.

“She asked how old Bertie is, and I told her he’s four years old, and she said, ‘Oh, he’s the same age as Lottie,'” the woman recalled. “She refers to her as Lottie!”

Charlotte’s full name, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, is already unusual, with rumors circulating that she was named after her grandfather, Charles. Her middle and third names, of course, are tributes to the Queen and her grandmother, Princess Diana.

Prince George, Charlotte’s elder brother, has a nickname as well, and it’s even stranger: he’s reportedly called Tips.

Nicknames appear to be popular in the Royal family, with William bestowing a variety of cute, adoring, and even sarcastic nicknames on his wife. According to reports, Prince William addressed his wife as “babe,” “darling,” and even “babykins.” According to the Sun, William has been heard calling Kate “darling,” “babe,” and “poppet” in more casual settings.
