A 98-year-old woman earned recognition after electing to live in the same nursing home as her 80-year-old son in order to care for him.

In this beautiful tale of a mother’s love that is so intense even at such a late age, Ada Keeting is the excellent mother who made it her business to take care of her son’s well-being.

Tom Keating moved to the Moss View care home in Liverpool, UK, in 2016 to receive the additional care and assistance he required.

Mother Ada decided to move into the same house as her oldest kid in order to be closer to her and care for her. In their spare time, the two strive to spend as much time as they can together playing games or watching Emmeralde.

Ada and Tom are very close because they have always lived together and Tom has never married. They both come from Wavertree in Liverpool.

According to Ada, they had formed a semblance of a routine.

“I go say good morning to Tom every morning and goodnight to Tom in his room,” she explained. He will be notified that I will be arriving for breakfast.

She said that they are still in love after all these years.

“He’ll search for me when I go to the hairdresser to see when I’ll return,” she explained. When I return, he’ll run up to me with his arms outstretched and give me a big hug. “You will always be a mother.” “They’re fairly good here,” Tom added, “and I’m delighted to see my mother more now that she lives here.” “Be yourself,” she’ll advise now and again. She takes good care of me.

Ada had four children with her late husband Harry, the oldest and only male being Tom. Margi, Barbara, and Janet, Ada’s daughters, all died at the age of thirteen. Ada worked as an assistant nurse, while Tom was a painter and decorator until he retired.

Family members pay them frequent visits and are always delighted to see the couple together. The Keating family pays visits on occasion, sometimes with up to five generations in attendance.

Ada’s granddaughter, Debi Higham, pays frequent visits to her grandmother and uncle. She mentioned the following:

«They are inseparable. It’s comforting to know they’re both being looked after around the clock.

The care home’s manager, Philip Daniels, also expressed his delight at having Tom and Ada among them.

«It’s very heartwarming to see Tom and Ada’s close bond, and we’re so delighted we were able to meet both of their needs,» he continued. «Because having parents and their children in the same care facility is unique, we want to make their time together as meaningful as possible.» They are indisputably linked.
