A wedding is always an emotional ceremony when the groom takes his new fiancée home, but this groom also made it official with his two new daughters.

The footage of the groom and his newly adopted daughters, whom he surprised at the altar, is bringing smiles to the faces of people all over the globe.

Dontes surprised the ladies at the wedding on August 13 at the San Marino Club in Troy, Michigan. The considerate groom conceived of the idea earlier this year during a conversation with his now-wife, Michelle Burton, 26.

Dontes therefore resolved to offer to adopt his stepdaughters while they were still young, and what better time than at his wedding?

Dontes, upon completing his vows to Michelle, then made a request that melted his and his daughters’ hearts. Over the years, he has become very close to the girls, and he considers them to be “daddy’s daughters” because he agrees to more of their requests than to mom’s.
