Legends rarely congregate in the same space at once, but that is exactly what happened when Dick Van Dyke, Norman Lear, and Mel Brooks shared a meal one day.

The guys choose to Facetime Richard Kind as they are seated collectively around the room. The phone call surprises him. He glances at the camera when he first encounters Dick Van Dyke, who introduces himself as “Hello, Dick van Dyke, Presbyterian.”

Everyone in the room, including Richard on Facetime, laughs loudly at this. Gosh, I can’t believe that!” exclaims Richard as he shouts excitedly into the phone. How amazing is technology?

Actor Dick Van Dyke has received accolades and success for seven decades. About 100 series, including “All in the Family,” “Sanford and Son,” and “Good Times,” have been produced by the honored Norman Lear.
