A 7-year-old child demonstrated that it is never too early to begin caring for the environment.

A seven-year-old Californian has demonstrated that it is never too early to start caring for the environment. Ryan Hickman was three years old when his father took him to a local recycling facility.

The next day, he expressed a desire to collect recyclable items from his neighbors. So began Ryan’s recycling campaign, in which the youngster returned approximately 200,000 bottles and cans, saving him thousands of dollars.

Ryan asked his parents for empty bags to collect empty cans and bottles from neighbors. The neighbors liked the idea and were happy to help the child, as were his parents’ acquaintances, coworkers, and family members.

Over the course of four years, Ryan transported 22,226 kg of garbage to the recycling facility.
He spends a significant amount of time sorting plastic and glass bottles and jars, according to his website.

Ryan has already earned $10,000 for college tuition (despite his website stating that he plans to buy a trash truck), and $1,624 has been donated to charity.

Ryan believes that people should recycle to save money and “to help nature,” because birds frequently consume non-organic garbage and “may become sick and die.”

Ryan’s efforts prevent rubbish from reaching landfills and the water.

Ryan’s mother said he has been giving it his best and wants everyone to
feel like he did: “I believe he has touched us all before. Every time you
pass a can on the floor, you feel forced to pick it up, as opposed to just passing it by.
