Barbra Streisand’s words of wisdom for those concerned about aging…

whether you ask me whether I’m afraid of aging, I’ll chuckle and say, «Of course I am! I looked better in my twenties than I do now.

But that has nothing to do with actual fear. I saw a video of a psychologist who was sought out by 25-year-old girls with their first facial wrinkle or gray hair.

They were so troubled by this idea that they mistook themselves for elderly women and refused to go on dates, let alone have children.

They got the idea that when they awoke the next day, their arms and backs would be immobile. Youth is gone, and life after youth is unreal. This «phobia» diagnosis is significant and must be handled.

Naturally, the other ladies notice that time dulls their blush and freshness, but they are unconcerned.

As they say, everything will work out in the end. When your own children and grandchildren complement your meals, it is not the same as when you receive compliments from men. Both cannot be used interchangeably.

Many people develop depressed as they approach a key age—40, 50, or 60 (everyone’s age varies). It makes no difference how old you are.

That is already a source of delight for you when you first woke up.

You ought to be grateful to God for each day you have. Why even live if you’re frightened of birthdays?
