Johnny Depp is one of today’s most talked-about celebrities. The actor is most recognized for his appearances in 21 Jump Street and many collaborations with filmmaker Tim Burton, as well as his most famous portrayal as the swashbuckling and exceedingly charming pirate Captain Jack Sparrow.

He’s a lot more renowned now, thanks to his recently ended legal hearings against his ex-wife Amber Heard. While we are all divided about the issue, we can all agree that Depp’s philanthropy has helped him become one of the most memorable performers of his generation.

Depp is well-known for his erratic demeanor, which stems from the parts he has portrayed.

This is evident anytime he visits hospitals dressed in a coat, shirt, tricorn hat, and eyeliner. He may be a pragmatic and naughty pirate, but for hospitalized children, he is Captain Jack Sparrow.

The Oscar nominee stopped by British Columbia Hospital, where a “pirate party” was held to commemorate his appearance.

The hospital’s patients and employees are overjoyed with the visit.

“We’ve got the wheels in motion,” hospital spokesperson Pamela Smith told ABC. “And I wanted it to be as quiet as possible… Some members of my team were completely unaware.”

Depp marched into the hospital, never breaking character during his five-hour tour of the facility.

While Depp’s ability to look charmingly intoxicated and sassy was admirable, Smith stated that what impressed her the most was Depp’s attempt to visit each room and his genuine involvement with the individuals, particularly the patients.

This was not his first time doing something like this.

In 2015, he dressed up as our favorite pirate and visited a Brisbane hospital. Staff and patients at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital witnessed the actor’s generosity firsthand.

Depp, as Captain Jack Sparrow, visited every room as much as he could, much like he did in British Columbia Hospital.

He shook their hands, played with them, and talked to them. He even gave the kids pirate coins as souvenirs.

His “visits” were unaffected by the pandemic.

Patients at Queensland Children’s Facility had the opportunity to meet Deep virtually as he paid a visit to the facility.

“‘It’s a fantastic facility. I’m with you all and send you all my love, irreverence, and ignorance because being irreverent and stupid is wonderful. Thank you for sticking with me during these strange years.” He stated this on the live stream.

His nefarious trips aren’t restricted to hospitals.

Fans of the actor and his character were treated to a special treat as they rode the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland.

Depp startled the riders by performing in one of the ride’s spots. Passengers and fans alike were ecstatic, with several declaring that seeing the actor in person had made their lives complete.

We can all agree that, whether we like him or dislike him, he has his moments. And he can be rather cool in certain situations.
