Pictures of a father and his daughter on the first day of kindergarten and the last day of high school have gone viral.

A moment in time is sometimes just that… a moment. But we’ve all had those wonderful times when we wish we could travel back in time and experience them.

Jason Gayler of Alvord, Texas, was looking through old photo albums when he came across one of himself taking his 5-year-old daughter, Brittany, along a road to her first day of school.

It was undoubtedly a memorable occasion for him.

But his young girl has grown up and will graduate from high school in a matter of months. So Jason asked Brittany if she wants to recapture that romantic moment 13 years ago with him by driving her to school on her last day.

Brittany liked the concept. So, in May of this year, Jason, now 38, walked his 18-year-old daughter to her final day of high school. And, once again, the photograph has captured that magical moment.

Jason, who struggled to hold back tears during that walk on the last day of school: “It brings me great joy if we could help people remember that time, even just for a moment, and we made them smile”. I hope one day when I’m old I can look at this and smile!”
