Alanna Butler, 21, lives in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, with her 25-year-old husband Ricky, their son Lincoln, and their dog Keola. And without Keola, their American Akita dog, Alhanna, and their son would not have survived. While pregnant with Lincoln, Alhanna began to have acute lower back discomfort.
She went to the hospital, and the physicians informed her that she needed not to worry. They reassured her that it was a normal aspect of the pregnancy and that she should not be concerned. So Alanna returned home and continued her regular life. She was aware, though, that something was amiss with her body. And she wasn’t the only one who felt this way; Keola did as well.

The Akita dog began to act abnormally at home. She sat in front of Alhanna and just stared at her, but she also stayed close to her mistress and felt worried when Alanna left the house. Alhanna has never seen her dog behave like this before. Things worsened when Keola gently shoved Alhanna in the tummy while screaming uncontrollably. Alhanna eventually relented and went back to the hospital.

According to Elkhana, “My mother called and said, ‘Listen to your dog, she’s trying to tell you something.'” Alhanna was thoroughly inspected when she returned to the hospital, and following the examinations, she was promptly sent to critical care. Alhanna had an uncommon double kidney infection, which was found.

She also suffered from an antibiotic-resistant bacteria that was killing her from the inside out. The doctors told her that if they lived a few weeks without treatment, she would probably die. And then for two weeks, she fought for her life in the hospital, where doctors did everything possible to save her and the baby in her stomach.

Doctors had to create new antibiotics in the lab, specifically designed for the infection that Alhanna had. In the end, fortunately, she was saved, and her birth went according to plan. Her son Lincoln was born without complications.
