Military personnel have it tough. They must spend days away from home and family. Their lives are at continual risk, and they rarely have time off from work.
A US Navy Captain, on the other hand, recently expressed gratitude to the stars for allowing her to be present at a special moment in her daughter’s life. Captain Jane Renee Jr. Lund, of Madison, Wisconsin, gained permission from Camp Randall to surprise her daughter Bella.
Captain Lund served in the United States Army Reserve as a veterinarian. She was in Kandahar, Afghanistan’s southernmost province, for over six months. She came to the United States a week ago and approximately thirty hours ago in Madison.
Captain Lund was born in the Wisconsin town of Wausau. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Stevens Point and her master’s degree in Madison. She acknowledged that she hadn’t seen her 13-year-old daughter since her birthday in April.
The unexpected reunion between the US Army Captain and her daughter was bizarre. She hoped she could run over to her daughter and hug her by the shoulders. Instead, she attempted to make the moment memorable for Bella.
The announcer at the football game named Bella and revealed that she was a die-hard Badgers fan. He also mentioned Captain Lund to help the audience get to know them better. The Wisconsin Badgers’ mascot then assisted Bella in waving to the crowd.
When Bella turned to face her mother, Captain Lund dashed toward her daughter. This prompted Bella to dash to her mother. Captain Lund grabbed and lifted her daughter. In front of 80,000 people at the stadium, it was a magical moment for the mother-daughter duo.
