With His Dance, This Down Syndrome Man Moves The Judges To Tears…

In the episode, The Greatest Dancer, a Down Syndrome dancer shocked the audience with his incredible abilities. Andrew, 21, was born with Down Syndrome, but that hasn’t stopped him from having the time of his life. As a child, he enjoyed watching the British dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing and would recreate the dance sequences while standing in front of the television.

Andrew enjoys performing ballet, modern, and ballroom dances, therefore he decided to compete in The Greatest Dancer. On this show, dancers of all ages and genres fight for cash prizes and the chance to go on Strictly Come Dancing.

The format of the show is that the dancer dances hidden behind a wall at first, then the audience votes on their audition. If the dancer receives more than 75% of the audience vote, the mirrored-wall opens and the dancer advances to the next round.

Andrew was at the top of his game when he began dancing to Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling,’ and wowed the judges and crowd with his fantastic dance skills and precision. It was so fantastic that judge Cheryl burst into tears because she was captivated by Andrew and his passion for dancing.
