Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991 and has been fighting it both personally and through the foundation he founded ever since. It sponsors research and develops medicines for Parkinson’s patients. In addition, he is a vegetarian. Most importantly, he is Tracy Pollan’s husband.

Michael J. Fox is a popular Canadian actor. Who can forget his role in the ’80s “Back to the Future” franchise?

The 61-year-old actor scored his first role as a 15-year-old in 1976 (in the Canadian comedy “Leo and Me”) and went on to appear in films such as “Family Ties” and “Spin City.”
Unfortunately, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991 and has been fighting it both personally and via his organization ever since. It funds research and develops medications for Parkinson’s disease patients. In addition, he is a vegetarian. Most importantly, he is Tracy Pollan’s husband.
They met nearly three decades ago and married on July 16, 1988. They are the parents of four children.
With the exception of a few cameo appearances on television and in documentaries, Michael’s days in the entertainment industry are essentially done. He met Tracy almost 30 years ago on the legendary NBC sitcom “Family Ties,” when Tracy played Michael’s on-screen lover, Ellen.
During that period, nothing happened. However, the couple began dating after working together on the film “Bright Lights, Big City” a few years later.
They’ve been together since then. They had their first child ten months after their wedding. Two years later, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a degenerative neurological ailment characterized by movement problems, rigidity, and shaking.
He was just 29 when he was diagnosed, but he kept it a secret for 7 years while coping with terrifying thoughts.

Pollan has remained by her husband’s side since his cancer diagnosis in 1991.
«We didn’t know what to expect,» Fox told Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist in November 2020. «One of the things I’ll remember Tracy for is not blinking at that moment.» Like many other couples, Michael and Tracy have both similarities and differences. One thing they all have in common is a positive attitude.
Michael came from an unusual family. He dropped out of high school and went on to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He was raised in Canada, whereas Tracy was raised in New York and attended the Lee Strasberg Institute. In 2018, the couple provided a big interview to People magazine in honor of their 30th wedding anniversary.
Tracy mentions in the interview that they have always been there for each other. This, she maintains, is the cornerstone of their love and their stable marriage.
«It was us vs the rest of the world.» That’s exactly what we did,» she says People.
Tracy was ecstatic when she saw they were on the cover. The title is “Our 30-Year Love Story.”
Tracy Pollan has been a huge assistance throughout the years. To be honest, we didn’t expect anything less.
«She’s right there with me on the front lines every day.» She never professes to be as knowledgeable as I am. Tracy also says, «If there’s something funny, let’s get to the funny.» «We’ll deal with the tragedy later,» Fox said in an interview with Today.
Michael says that after more than 30 years together, he is as content as can be.

«I got to the point where I couldn’t rely on my capacity to talk on any given day, so I couldn’t act at all.» So I gave it up last year,» he explained to Good Morning America.
In 2007, Fox was named to Time magazine’s list of the 100 people “whose power, talent, or moral example is transforming the world” for his efforts to promote awareness of Parkinson’s disease and potential cures for the condition, including the formation of the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
His nonprofit, established in 2000, is dedicated to sponsoring research to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
«We created what has become a large network of patients, scientists, and institutions.» «We’ve invested over a billion dollars,» he said.
When asked if he expects to see a cure in his lifetime, Fox says, “I’m 60 years old, and science is difficult.” So, no.»
Nonetheless, the father of four and devoted husband to Tracy Pollan, whom he married in 1988, maintains a positive attitude, saying, “I’ve been blessed with things that are just incredible.” Life is plentiful. «Life is fantastic.»
Tracy, as expected, supports her husband’s battle with Parkinson’s disease, and the two collaborate to fund research to find a cure. As they say, they’ve been fused together.
I was moved by all of the hardships they’ve conquered together. It’s only made them stronger! Please share if you’d want to congratulate this wonderful couple on their anniversary.
