The sisters had been hunting for one another for many years, but it wasn’t until two decades later that they were able to reconnect, thanks to the help of a stranger.
Brittany Bigley, who now lives in the United States, was separated from her younger sister Amanda in 1993 owing to marital problems. Brittany was adopted by a foster family when Amanda’s father took her away.

When Amanda was 10, her father died, and she was placed in an orphanage, where she remained until she was seventeen. She made numerous attempts to locate her sister as a child, using photographs from the family archive and court documents, unconscious that she was doing so.
Brittany spent hours browsing the Internet for photographs of women in the hopes of recognizing Amanda. She also created a video of her story and shared it on social media. After a while, her late father’s ex-girlfriend wrote to her. Brittany didn’t know this lady, but she was well-versed in her family’s history, including her sister’s new name, which she used to check her sister’s Facebook profile.

«When I saw her picture, my heart started racing. The fluffy lashes and potato noses are the same. «She was coated in makeup, yet we looked a lot alike,» Brittany says.
Brittany also discovered a portrait of Amanda’s father there, and it was unmistakably her! For the first time in 25 years, the lady sent a message to her sister and spoke with her. Then came the long-awaited meeting, during which no one could keep their emotions in check. Brittany stated she couldn’t let go of her sister for a long time.

The sisters agree that their lives will never be the same again. They get the impression that the void that has always been in their hearts has vanished. «We’re best friends, and we talk all the time.»

«I met her family, and she met mine,» Amanda explains. «There’s so much we want to tell each other, and we’re looking forward to it.»
