A bereaved loved one would undoubtedly give anything to hear the voice of a lost friend or family member again. When she received a custom-made teddy bear with her best friend’s voice recording, this 19-year-old burst into tears.

Taylor McCormack’s younger sister, Maddie, surprised her with a wonderful Christmas gift. Maddie bought her a fluffy brown teddy bear wearing a white shirt. Taylor opened the package and took out her brown teddy bear, oblivious to the fact that there was more to it than meets the eye. Maddie then asked her to press the teddy bear’s hand. When she heard Rodney, her best friend’s voice, it was the biggest surprise of her life. Rodney is said to have died in a canal in Manchester, England, in 2020.

When she heard her bereaved friend’s voice, she fell into tears. Maddie gave Taylor’s teddy bear a voice by saving a video of Rodney.

The best buddies met at Jones Academy in Southend-on-Cecil Sea. Even after Rodney moved away, they stayed close. When her friend died, she was devastated and had hard to move on. But having “a little bit of Rodney” with her wherever she goes offers her peace of mind.
