Simon Cowell afterward apologized for buzzing the act too soon after buzzing it. On May 29, Amanda Holden voiced her disappointment after learning that Paddy had broken her rib while practicing a new routine with Nico. She stated, “Ever since I first saw Paddy dance, I fell in love with her.”

In my perspective, she had a good chance of winning the entire competition. The following day, however, it was revealed that Paddy and Nico would remain in the show because Paddy’s health had improved from the accident and she had received the all-clear from medical professionals.

In her statement, Paddy said that she had informed the show’s producers that she thought she was “healthy enough to dance” and added, “Britain’s Got Talent is something I very much want to do.”

Paddy and Nico went to the show’s finale on May 31, after defeating vocalist Bailey McConnell in the semi-finals with three favorable votes from the judges. They finished ninth overall in the live final on June 7, 2014, with a different routine.
