When a new baby joins the family, some older brothers and sisters become envious.

While their youthful feelings are endearing, Ali Retelle’s video of her son and his newborn daughter meeting is rather different.

The touching video shows the young boy holding his baby sister. He couldn’t take his gaze away from her small face as she made slight arm movements, and when he finally lifted his head, his parents noticed he was crying.

The child, clearly overwhelmed by his feelings of delight, love, and wonder, couldn’t help but cry as he cherished his sister’s existence.

The youngster brushed his tears away with the sleeve of his sweater and returned his gaze to his sister, who let out a small hiccup.

“You can talk to her,” his mother said.

“She can’t respond, but she understands what you’re saying,” said his father.

“You may say whatever you want to her,” mother said.

However, the toddler did not appear to have the vocabulary to express his feelings. So he just grinned and tightly held his sister.

Nobody knows what the youngster was thinking at the time, but it’s clear from their first encounter that he loved his sister. From the looks of it, he’ll make an excellent big brother!
