Incredible life story of a couple who had been married for 70 years.

A woman was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease three years ago, and the disease has now advanced significantly. She has lost all of her energy and has nearly stopped speaking in the last year. Her final words were “my husband.”

Francis did his best to take care of his wife, however, despite the help of nurses, he found it difficult to take care of her. Then the man had to send his wife to a nursing home.

He saw her every day and spent all of his time with her. The couple ate lunch together, watched TV on a little sofa in the living area, and spent the entire time holding hands.

Norma frequently dozed off on her husband’s shoulder. Francis was placed in the same house where his wife lived when he collapsed and broke his hip.

Norma, in an incomprehensible way, despite her dementia, recognized him. If he refused to eat, she refused to. If he refused the water, so would she. She imitated his behavior.

The first time they met was at a ball. Norma was dressed in a long pale blue dress and there was a sprig of jasmine in her loose brown hair. Francis thought she was a movie star. To buy an engagement ring, he had to sell his motorcycle.

Some people believe that the offspring of lovers are orphans. But not in this instance. They have always had enough love for their three children, Michael, Cameron, and Amanda, as well as their five grandchildren and numerous friends.

They were thrilled to be close to one other from the day of their wedding to the last day of their lives and hoped to witness their wedding anniversary in platinum.
