Mary Lee Harvey, Steve Harvey’s ex-wife, once made public his dirty laundry. He allegedly forced her to live a grueling lifestyle following their divorce. This is what happened.
Mary Lee Harvey’s ex-husband is Steve Harvey, a well-known comedian, radio host, and TV host who is also a producer and actor. After divorcing his first wife, Marcia Harvey, the comedian married Mary Lee Harvey as his second wife.
Prior to meeting her ex-husband, nothing is known about Mary’s early life, including her childhood, education, and job. She rose to prominence as a result of her connection with the TV star. The couple’s only child is Wynton Harvey.
In 1989, Mary Lee Harvey’s ex-husband and she connected at a mall in Arlington, Texas. She was a makeup artist when she first met Steve. At the time of her marriage, Mary was a stay-at-home mom who was raising two children.

It was later revealed that the breakup was triggered by a variety of factors, including a suspected infidelity. Mary alleged he had an affair with his now-wife, Marjorie Harvey, while they were still married.
There was also a conflict about child custody. She then posted YouTube videos purporting to demonstrate Steve’s darker side. According to the tapes, Mary said that in addition to being unfaithful, Steve had harmed her life.

The judge noted that Mary was not in danger of becoming homeless or evicted. According to the terms of the settlement deal, she received three homes, a $40,000 monthly payment until March 2009, and an additional $1.5 million.
Concerning Mary’s accusation that Steve kidnapped Wynton, the court record indicated that Mary placed Wynton on a plane with the intention of transporting him to the comedian without his knowledge.
The letter also said that contrary to Mary’s assertions, Steve, who presently has primary custody of their child, did not isolate or turn Wynton against Mary. There was a response to her accusation of Steve’s adultery.
Marjorie, according to the judge, was not a party to the divorce and was not even a contributing factor. Officially, the divorce was the result of “irreconcilable differences.”
Mary Lee Harvey discussed her ex-husband’s Valentine’s Day gift after their divorce. She revealed that she had received a Valentine’s Day card and a box of chocolates as gifts. In addition, the gift came with a notice—a gag order—informing Mary that she needed to return to court.
Mary was detained in 2013 after allegedly being convicted in contempt of court. She spent 30 days in jail and gave an account of the incident that she said led to her detention.
She began by saying that she had not disobeyed any court orders and continued, “This is about the rule that says you’re not meant to talk to anyone about your divorce.”
At the time, Mary also disclosed that all she wanted was to see her son Wynton, who was in Steve’s custody. She remarked:
I don’t want to be silenced. I’m sick of being taken to the McKinney courthouse every time I say, “Boo.”
The comedian’s ex-wife was likewise barred from publicly criticizing her ex-husband. In 2011, Steve was apparently successful in securing an injunction against Mary in Texas state court.
The gag order forbade Mary from disparaging her ex-husband in the media or on social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace. This arose as a result of Mary’s web videos about her ex-husband.
Wynton Harvey was born, the son of Mary Lee Harvey and Steve Harvey. Wynton has been a professional photographer since 2016. He enjoys photographing fashion, landscapes, people, and other subjects.
