In 1952, a woman named Martha accomplished her dream and married the guy she loved.

Nothing could stop their love at the moment, although there were stereotypes that their love was not worth celebrating.

It’s all because they’re black. It was illegal for blacks to socialize with whites at the time.

They were seen to have no claim to it because they were not equal.

Martha and her husband wedded nevertheless, although without a wedding gown. Black people were not allowed to enter wedding salons in the 1950s.

And Martha’s desire of walking down the aisle with her beloved in a lovely white gown remained a fantasy for many decades.

After 70 years, Martha sat down with her granddaughter and watched a romantic movie.

During the wedding scene, she told her granddaughter that she had always dreamed of wearing such a beautiful snow-white dress.

Because when she got married, she didn’t have such an opportunity. The granddaughter decided to surprise her beloved grandmother.
