Karen Cranfield is 36 years old, and her husband Sam Cranfield is 44. When she was 17 and Sam was 25, they met while working together at a small tavern. After two years of dating, the couple divorced since their relationship couldn’t handle life’s obstacles.

They tried to have children during those two years, but all of their attempts failed. Karen was unable to sustain a pregnancy, and physicians diagnosed her with a molar pregnancy, which occurs when a non-viable egg is implanted but does not grow into an embryo, instead transforming into a mass of cells. Her fertility was severely impacted by the obligatory cleaning treatment.

Going through a difficult time, Karen found it unbearable to continue living together, despite her warm feelings for Sam. After their separation, Sam married and had a daughter named Perry, who is now 14 years old. Karen also got married but divorced in 2010. Later, she met a new partner, but the desire to have children never left her.

Karen considered using in vitro fertilization, but a medical evaluation revealed that her odds of becoming a mother were nearly nil. This resulted in yet another heartbreak in her life.

Unexpectedly, Karen tweeted Sam, only to find out that her former partner had broken up with his wife. They decided to reunite, and Sam left London to join Karen in Kent. She became pregnant, and in March, little Louise came into the world.

All of this seemed incredible to them. They had come a long way to rediscover their love and the joy of being parents.
