Regardless, there is still a long way to go.

When a concerned mother brought photos of her son to Oshkosh B’Gosh, the firm refused to use him as a model.

What’s going on? He was born with the condition Down syndrome.

Meagan Nash and her family live in the state of Georgia in the United States.

Meagan was thrilled when the children’s apparel brand Oshkosh B’Gosh announced that they were searching for models and sent images of her 15-month-old son, Asher.

The child was just what the business required. He was the appropriate height, and his hair and eyes were the right hue.

However, Meagan received no response after sending images of her son.
When Meagan contacted the company, she was informed that they did not want to utilize Asher in their forthcoming campaign because they did not want “a baby with special needs.”

“Did they say that they wouldn’t hire a child with special needs?” According to the Independent, the mother retaliated.

Meagan was furious and disturbed.

She understood that not every child is given the opportunity to be a model, but to reject her son only because he had one extra chromosome?

Meagan wished the corporation had thought about it more and realized how much Asher could have helped them. She chose to act because she was angry.

She posted photos of her son Asher in the Facebook group “Kids with Down Syndrome.”

Crystal Barbee’s photos of Asher sporting a blue denim shirt and bow tie were an instant sensation.

Meagan wrote the following letter to the company that turned down her son:

“Let’s make a difference—spread the word so they can see Asher!”

“This handsome boy is ready to show everyone what Changing the Face of Beauty is all about.”

Over 100,000 people had liked Asher’s images on Facebook at the time this was posted.

“We are working with the Changing the Face of Beauty organization and trying to get Oshkosh to use him in their ads,” Meagan wrote in the article, emphasizing that her son had been rejected by an agency rather than the clothing manufacturer.
