A particular kitten is traveling the world on wheels in search of a forever family… Read on to find out what occurred…

Meet Snapple, a fiery tuxedo cat from Minnesota on a mission to travel the world by car!

This lovely young kitten is determined to show that having special needs does not impede him from living his best life.

All he needs now is a forever family to care for him and accompany him on his adventures.

Kris, Snapple’s foster mother, tells us all about this little champion in the story below.

Snapple was discovered in April 2021 as a kitten.

Because their mother was young and unable to care for them, Snapple and his siblings needed to be bottle-fed.

Foster caregiver for the Bitty Kitty Brigade who specializes in unstable kittens, usually those with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH).

“I knew I wanted to foster a little, shaky tuxedo kitten who needed to be moved to a new foster home the moment I heard about it.”

Wobbly kittens have a soft spot in my heart.

Snapple and his littermates were 4.5 weeks old and were starting to wean when they came into my care.

Snapple and his littermates (Moxie, Sprite, and Fresca) were named by their first caregiver after several sorts of drinks.

Snapple had a wobbly head, which is usual with CH cats, but I was concerned since he never used his front legs.

He had to be separated from his littermates because, as kittens do, they would playfully attack his tail and feet. Snapple, on the other hand, would be rendered useless because he would be unable to run.

I had the other kittens transferred to another caretaker once I confirmed that they were not showing any signs of CH so that I could focus on Snapple’s treatment.

Snapple was a very happy kitten when given the proper stimulation and attention, as I discovered when spoiling him and taking him on adventures!

He enjoys going on brief excursions outside with me to look at the flora, bugs, and birds.

He’s at ease in a variety of situations. Snapple enjoys accompanying me to social events and park outings; he adores meeting new people!

Snapple was checked by a veterinary neurologist, who determined that he did not have CH.

He was diagnosed with Cervical Spinal Cord Disease and Brain Disease instead.

Because they were concerned about his quality of life, I brought him home with the intention of indulging him before making any decisions for him.

Because he was still growing, he was ineligible for a bespoke cart.

By the time he was measured and a cart was constructed and transported, he’d probably outgrown it.

I did, however, find one on Amazon that was adjustable, allowing me to adapt it to his exact specifications.

I’m not a big fan of carts because cats dislike them and can get around just fine without them.

Snapple, on the other hand, was one-of-a-kind. He jumped directly into the cart and took off!

We use the cart multiple times every day, usually on a calm street near my house, or on my porch or dining room.

He joins me at work and sprints with me around the office and warehouse.

He has difficulty moving when he isn’t in his cart, but he enjoys pushing himself around and interacting with the toys around him.

He occasionally just wants to sleep on a comfortable bed nearby and watch the world go by.

He resembles an ordinary cat in many ways.

He enjoys toy play, bird watching, and (with a little assistance) exploring his environment.

Snapple enjoys being caressed; he’s a natural snuggler with a continual purr!

He’ll chat with you and let you know when he needs your attention, but he’ll also let you know when he’s had enough.

He, like all cats, can become overstimulated.

Snapple has become more self-sufficient in his everyday demands as a result of his inventiveness.

Snapple is ecstatic when he sees a food bowl; he has a voracious appetite and enjoys eating!

He feeds himself by using a feeding station that keeps him upright.

He utilizes portable toilet pads to relieve himself. Snapple is extremely clean and requires little cleaning.

Snapple is still in Minnesota’s foster care system.

Someone who works from home, is retired, or could drive him to work would be his ideal forever home. He’s waiting to be forever united with his forever family.
