Sandra Bullock, one of Hollywood’s most brilliant and well-known actresses, has announced her retirement from acting.

In an interview with CBS Sunday morning, the Lost City star confessed that she believed her final series of films would also be her last. She decided that it was time to step away from the cameras.

While filming in the Lost City, she discovered how important her family was to her and how much she missed her two children, Louise and Leila. As a result, she desired to spend more time with them, which was the primary reason for her break.

Though she knows how much she can lose and her fans will be dissatisfied without seeing her on the big screen, her desire to focus on her family and be present for them is commendable and deserves respect.
